Fix Blogger Blog not Displaying Correctly in Internet Explorer

blogger-logoWhen ever someone develops a website, the major challenge he has to face is to come up with a universal cross browser compatible website that looks same on every browser and functions same too. Well developing a website for older Internet Explorer version might become the biggest challenge and people are sincerely working on improving every bit of their websites, well this same thing happened in my blogger blog and my Internet Explorer version was like big bulky chunk with bad graphics and other stuff.

So I just searched whole over the internet for the solution to this problem and to see if this was really a problem and I can fix it out so I found a good article at blogxpertise that gave some light on how I can fix my blogger blog in Internet Explorer.

Optimize Blogger Blog Design for Internet Explorer

So now if you came across the same thing and you website looks bad in Internet Explorer than you can follow below steps and optimize your websites layout for Internet Explorer. The problem lies in the Meta tag provided by Microsoft and as blogger templates are older now so their coding is older too and Microsoft updates meta tags that should be updated to get proper emulated website design in Internet Explorer.

So now when you open your blogger blog HTML section you will find something like below line that is simply saying that you website should be reverted back to Internet Explorer 7 design if its is being accessed from any younger version like Internet Explorer 9.

<meta content='IE=EmulateIE7' http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible'/>

So now the thing you need to do is too simple replace the above code with the below code that will emulate you’re your website in the modern Internet Explorer versions, so this the official meta emulation tag provided by Microsoft.

<meta http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible' content='IE=8, IE=9, IE=10' />

So now you just need to replace the line and than save your template, now check your website again in Internet Explorer now your website will look somewhat similar to what you are getting in Chrome and Firefox.
