We have already posted some awesome VLC Media Player tricks like playing puzzle game in vlc media player and even making any video as your desktop background. Well today I will be showing you how you can easily play any of your favorite video in the colorful ASCII Art format, so it looks bit artistic. So as you can see below in the screenshot, you might be able to see the face moving here and there well that's how your video's are gonna look like.
So now if you the way how video play's above, then I will be showing you how you can easily get the same effect right on your personal favorite videos. Well lets see how you can do this right inside your VLC media player.
- Open VLC Media Player.
- Navigate to Tools > Preferences > Video > Output.
- Now you need to change it from Automatic to "Color ASCII art Video Output"
- Now Save your changes and close your VLC Media Player, now open any of your video and another window will pop open with your video playing.
That's it now enjoy your ASCII video playing right inside your VLC Media Player, well you can once again shift it to Automatic and then press Save to get back old video output format, well do comment if you find any problem.
